Course Introduction:
AI for Business: From Amateur to Centaur is a new course designed for learners at any stage to take their AI journey to the next level. Whether you’re completely new or already experimenting, this 5-week hands-on programme shows you how to translate AI hype into practical workflows that save time, reduce admin, and deliver real insights.
Learning Outcomes:
Understand the AI landscape — what tools are available and how they can be applied to business challenges.
- Integrate external tools (email, calendars, data sources) into ChatGPT/Claude to streamline workflows.
- Create your own “Master Prompt” — using the power of "context engineering" to create an LLM interaction that knows your industry background, skills, expertise, challenges and goals and gives responses tailored to your context.
- Create your own AI Personal Assistant for scheduling, reminders, and task organisation.
- Use AI for data analysis — logging, tracking, and interpreting business or personal data
- Design custom automation flows to remove repetitive admin work using AI automation software like n8n and Zapier
- Harness AI for research — from broad surveys to deep, accurate document analysis.

- Week 4 Spreadsheets & Data Workflows
- Week 5 Custom Automation & Research Workflows
Requirements:
- Learners will require their laptops for the course.
- Laptops are ideal, however if you do not have a laptop, you can do the course with an iPad/tablet (or even phone). Trainer, James will help you with this. If on iPad/laptop, you will have to pay for another service to make it work beyond the course; but for this course you can get a free trial to the service you'll need for the purposes of learning on the course, so you won't have to worry there.
- Claude AI and ChatGPT accounts set up.
- The software is compatible with mac.
